Privacy Policy

Dining Dash (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This policy describes what information we collect when you use the Dining Dash mobile app and related services, and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Account and sign-in. When you sign in with Google, we receive information from Google Sign-In processed through Supabase Auth, such as your email address, name, and identifiers needed to keep your account secure and distinct from other users.
• Profile and bookings. Information you provide in the app (for example, host listings, booking details, and related profile data) is stored so the service can function.
• Messages. In-app chat messages you send or receive are stored so conversations work across sessions and devices.
• Push notifications. If you enable notifications, a device push token may be stored and used to deliver alerts (for example, about bookings or messages) through our notification provider.
• Payments and tips. Dining Dash does not process payments or tips inside the app. Any tips or other transfers between users are arranged directly between you and other users, outside the app (for example, in person). We do not collect or store card numbers or bank account details for those arrangements.

How we use information

We use the information above to operate Dining Dash: authentication, listings and bookings, messaging, notifications, related support, security, and legal compliance.

Third-party services

We rely on service providers that process data on our behalf, including:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and related backend infrastructure
• Google — Google Sign-In for authentication
• Expo — building and delivering the mobile app; push notification delivery may flow through Expo’s infrastructure

Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.

Retention and deletion

We keep information as long as needed to run the service and meet legal obligations. You may request account or data questions through the contact on our Support page.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
